color palette: navy & gold

Navy is such a deep rich color, so pairing it with the warm metallic of gold makes a very luxurious color palette. I think this palette would work anytime of year just depending on the accents.

With that said, navy and gold can go bad. It can look unintentionally nautical or feel very collegiate football, and this is certainly not what you want:

To avoid this, add gold subtlety with true metallics rather than shades of yellow.
